Star For Quality Award

International Star For Leadership in Quality, STAR FOR QUALITY AWARD

Paris hosted this year's BID International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention, where professionals and business leaders from around the world gathered to recognize excellence and success. In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which helps bolster customer satisfaction and cost efficiency across all areas of operation.
Among this year's winners, Godwin Dela-Adem Adordie and Marie Adordie of Praise Export Services Ltd, from Ghana, received the International Star for Leadership in Quality Award in the Gold Category at the BID Quality Convention in Paris. The organization has made huge strides this year as a leader not only within its sector, but also in Ghana. The Award came as an ideal way to celebrate this past year's successes while looking forward to putting quality first in the year to come.
Paris, one of the largest cities in Europe, is considered one of the top three most important cities in the world due to its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts. Paris is home to some of the planet?s most important international organizations including UNESCO, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the International Chamber of Commerce.  The Paris urban area boasts a population of over 11 million people and is home to 37 Fortune 500 companies. Its 3,800 historical monuments and 4 UNESCO World Heritage Sites attract more than 42 million tourists per year, making Paris the most visited city in the world and the perfect location for BID's Quality Commitment Convention.
 
Praise Export Services Ltd won the International Star for Leadership in Quality Award in the Gold category in Paris in the presence of leaders and representatives from 49 countries at the International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention. You have established yourself as a leading agro-processing of tropical foods in Ghana and over the years, you have been exporting gari and other products to the US, Canada and the European Union.

With empirical record, you were awarded the Silver Award for export of gari during the 2009 edition of the awards. You continue to build on this success and provide jobs in the value chain. Additionally, you have a commendable repatriation of export earnings.

You are a 100% Ghanaian owned food-processing company incorporated in 1994 as a Private Limited Company. Your mission is to become a leading agro-processing Company in Ghana, producing high quality competitively priced AFRICAN FOODS that meet customers' needs and expectations both in domestic and the export markets by using well trained and highly motivated staff.
In 1995, you started exporting a small range of local processed and non-processed foodstuffs, like Gari and fresh yams to the United Kingdom. Over the years, you have consistently been adding to the list of processed foods, such that you presently process over a dozen food preparations for export not only to the US, Canada and UK but also to other European Countries, including the Netherlands, Australia and Germany.
You engaged in other business activities such as commercial oil plantation and animal farming and have contributed, in many diverse ways, to the reduction of unemployment in the country. Currently, a total workforce of 110 is employed directly in your operations.

Mr. J. A. Kufuor Awards PESL at the 20th National Farmers' Day Award

President of the fourth Republic of Ghana, Mr. J. A. Kufuor on behalf of the Government and the people of Ghana recognised the valuable contributions of Praise Export Services Limited (PESL) over the years in the area of Food Processing and Attractive Packaging in a bid to ensure Food Safety and Security.

This plaque was presented to PESL at the 20th National Farmers’ Day in Ghana on the 5th of November, 2004.
